PRONAL
OPAP anti-pollution stoppers are permanently fitted in storm water and sewerage lines, ready for rapid inflation by manual or remote triggering as soon as an emergency arises in industrial, civil and municipal applications.

ORJ removable stoppers are there to plug pipes for maintenance, to temporarily block the runoff of certain substances (e.g. during the cleaning process), or to test pipes for leaks under pressure. We also offer a complete set, delivered in a portable, sturdy box. This set contains removable stoppers of different dimensions, as well for straight pipes as for corners and is especially suited for facility maintenance staff.

THERMATRON
Thermatron insulation is an insulation system for your valves, pipes and other systems within your company. This insulation offers less loss of heat and cold, for difficult to insulate valves, and is easily removable for maintenance thanks to hooks and loops strips.

When it comes to fire protection, Landon Kingsway offers free fall fire valves and Fenwal “Detect a fire” sensors are also available at LDA.

EMC

We have T Race rails and PBC linear guidance systems on stock for showrooms and other applications where heavy material needs to be linear moved.

What is spray dampening? 

Spray dampening is a common technology used in newspaper printing presses to apply ink release solutions to the non-printing surface of ink rollers. The precise dosing of the solution controls the dot gain and a high resolution. This technic allows to moisten the paper accurately and to reduce the waste of the waste water coming from the spray dampening system.  As such, the amount of water is precisely managed and the amount of waste in the printing industry is reduced.

What’s the role?              

The spray dampening system transfers a fine and uniform wet film to the printing plate. This also serves to avoid the return of particles coming from the printing plate or ink rollers.

Spray dampening must complete the following tasks:

• Wetting of the no-printing areas of the plate quickly, uniformly and without excess.
• Creating a good emulsion in the ink.
• Maintaining the hydrophilic type of the plate while protecting it against wear (by lubrication) and oxidation (by adsorption of a protective film).
• To evaporate as much as possible before being transferred to the paper.
• Cooling the ink film.
• To evacuate all particles that appear on the plate or the blanket.

To protect the rolls against wear because of abrasion

• Return on investment can be fast

This no-contact system projects the spray from the bubbler to the other dampening rollers. This projection can be done in 3 ways:

• With a brush in the tank which rubs against a blade
• With a rotating system that uses the centrifugal force
• With nozzles that spray drops under pressure

LDA has a replacement system for Baldwin or Technotrans valves. This system allows you to save money while increasing production and reducing the labour cost. It also allows you to use less replacement parts.

The food truck concept – originally from the USA – is finding its way in Europe. LDA supplies gas springs, which are used as a support to open the various panels of the trucks. Easy to install and use, gas springs are usually the best solution as assistance in opening and closing doors, windows but also used in various applications where guidance and support is necessary to open and close panels in a comfortable and safe way.  Need to find a certain type of gas spring? LDA can supply gas springs based on technical drawings, samples of the gas spring that has to be replaced or a simple picture of the sticker.

In the food trucks, there are appliances such as professional coffee machines, ovens and metallic tables for food. To avoid shocks during the travel, the appliances can be equipped with Firestone air springs. Firestone developed the air spring in the late 1930's as a more efficient spring (vibration isolator) for use in vehicle suspensions. These solutions then spread into the industrial market.

Air springs are perfectly suited for vibration isolation. They require no maintenance or lubrication, and boast a very long lifetime.

Gas springs are used in many lifting (or compression) applications, where they assist and support a manual movement. The best example is their use in car trunks or sunbed. LDA’s product range offers a wide variety of forces, lengths and fixation possibilities.

LDA can provide any type of gas spring, suited to your needs. We have gas springs for lifting applications, compression, in stainless steel or for heavy industrial applications. Our gas springs can be blocked in the final position or at many points during the stroke.
